Welcome to Thornhill Tennis Club

We are a small community Tennis Club based in Thornhill, Dewsbury. But we have big ambitions.

We regard ourselves as an inclusive Club, offering a warm welcome to everyone, whether you have never played tennis before, are a returner to the sport or a current player looking for a change of club.

Wellbeing is a big factor in all our lives and at Thornhill Tennis Club we believe that Tennis is a great outlet for both mental health and physical wellbeing.

Thornhill Tennis Club has existed since 1995 and is a not-for-profit, community club run by a volunteer committee who all give their time purely for the good of the Club and its members. Our Club was opened by Greg Rusedski, the then British No 1 player. Our claim to fame!!

Recent upgrades to the Courts, Fencing and Cabins has given the Club a whole new feel and we are excited for the future.

If you want to have a look around before committing, then please contact us via the Contact Us tab and we will make the necessary arrangements to meet you at the Courts.

Above is a photo of our new blue tennis courts with a green surround, the fence has been removed by AI to show the courts better. During 2026 a brand new fence is being installed.
